中新天津生态城作为首个国家绿色发展示范区和首批国家智慧城市试点，生态城正在以打造国家绿色发展示范区升级版为引领，加快建设宜居宜业宜游宜乐的绿色生态之城、智慧创新之城、开放合作之城、活力幸福之城。目前已形成智能科技服务、文化健康旅游、绿色建筑与开发等特色主导产业，一汽丰田新能源工厂、“大国重器”华海通信生产基地、清华大学天津电子信息研究院等重点企业和大院大所聚集发展，累计注册市场主体突破 4.3 万家，区内人口超过 17 万人，职住平衡指数达到 50%，相继获批国家全域旅游示范区、国家文化出口基地、国家骨干冷链物流基地等国家级品牌。

Key enterprises and research institutions such as FAW Toyota New Energy Factory, Big Country Heavy Equipment Huahai Communication Base Area, and Tsinghua University (Tianjin) Electronic Information Research Institute have gathered for development. The number of registered market entities has exceeded 43,000, with a population of more than 170,000 people in the area. The index of job-housing balance reaches 50%. It has been approved as a national integrated tourism demonstration area, a national cultural export base, and a national backbone cold chain logistics base, among other national brands.
