Abbreviation: TIFFLA

Founded in December 1994, TIFFLA is a sectoral, non-profit social organization voluntarily formed by entities, groups and individuals registered in Tianjin that are engaged in international logistics and freight forwarding, as well as internet, technology, education and other sectors related to international logistics and freight forwarding.

The international freight forwarding and logistics industry in Tianjin provides organization and services for import and export cargo transportation in Tianjin and at Tianjin Port. It is a key component of Tianjin’s modern logistics industry, and also belongs to producer services and trade in services. At present, the Association has more than 1,200 member enterprises.

Organizational Structure

The supreme authority of the Association is the Members’ Congress, which convenes once every four years and elects the leading bodies and leading personnel of the Association. The Association has established administrative offices.

When the Members’ Congress is not in session, an executive meeting composed of the resident president, vice presidents and secretary-general shall handle and decide on daily work within the powers stipulated by the Articles of Association.

The Association upholds the tenet of serving enterprises and follows the working principle of “rights protection, service, coordination and self-regulation”.

Promote institutional reform and innovation to tackle development challenges.

Communicate with relevant government authorities to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises.

Strengthen industry self-regulation, guide honest operation and fair competition, and foster sound and orderly development.

Guide enterprises to clarify their development positioning, striving to realize specialized services for small and medium-sized freight forwarders and logistics-integrated services for large and medium-sized freight forwarders.

Under the new situation, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Association will promote the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of Tianjin’s international freight forwarding and logistics industry, achieve sustained growth of international freight forwarding and logistics business, and cooperate with relevant government departments to build a competitive and well-regulated international freight forwarding and logistics market.
