The 3rd Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo(TISIE)will grandly open at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) during June 12–14, 2025 . This edition will debut the "Green and Smart Shipping Zone," focusing on technological innovations, clean energy alternatives, sustainable development achievements, cutting-edge equipment, and advanced technologies in the shipping sector, showcasing breakthrough progress in the industry’s green and intelligent transformation.
Green Shipping Practices: Energy Revolution and Low-Carbon Technologies
Amid the global wave of green development, the shipping industry is riding the tide of green innovation. At the 2024 Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo, BYD unveiled pure electric heavy-duty trucks and hydrogen-powered cold chain logistics vehicles with a range exceeding 800 kilometers, fully meeting long-haul transportation demands. CATL introduced its "Zero-Carbon Logistics Park" energy management solution, achieving 100% green power coverage through integrated photovoltaic-storage-charging technology. This year’s expo will further highlight advancements in green shipping, including methanol, LNG, hydrogen energy refueling systems, energy-efficient vessels, shore power upgrades, eco-friendly warehousing, dust control for bulk cargo, exhaust purification, oil spill recovery, noise reduction technologies, and other innovations that bolster port operations.

Smart Shipping Upgrades: Digital Empowerment and Intelligent Equipment
The logistics industry is undergoing a critical phase of digital transformation and intelligent upgrades. The integration of AI, IoT, and big data is revolutionizing efficiency. At the 2024 expo, companies like SF Technology, JD Logistics, and Cainiao Network showcased unmanned warehouse management systems, intelligent sorting robots, drone delivery networks, and AI-driven supply chain optimization platforms. SF Technology’s drones and autonomous delivery vehicles, capable of navigating complex terrains and completing large-scale deliveries rapidly, drew significant attention. This year’s expo will spotlight smart equipment such as port robots and unmanned vessels, aiming to build intelligent shipping corridors.

Industry Ecosystem Development: RMB 40 Billion in Project Signings
During the TISIE 2024, 65 key projects worth nearly RMB 40 billion were signed, expected to generate over RMB 6 billion in new foreign trade. Notable agreements include Minmetals Development Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Port Group’s joint investment of RMB 1.1 billion to build a green raw material production base, and COSCO Shipping Group’s green methanol trading and refueling project in Tianjin. These initiatives exemplify Tianjin’s accelerated formation of a "technological innovation–application–industrial cluster" ecosystem.
Three-Dimensional Showcase: Technology, Application, and Commercialization
The TISIE 2025 will present a comprehensive vision of "green, intelligent, and collaborative" development through "technology display + scenario application + commercial implementation," offering a Chinese blueprint for global shipping transformation.
